First Post
Well, I am still learning about this whole blog thing. My friend, Rhea showed me some tips last night while we were visiting. This is my second time to write this, because I apparently didn't save it right the first time. AARGH! So hear goes again.... Upon returning home last night, I heard a faint, short beeping sound. I didn't want Garrett to hear it, because he is very scared of loud noises and alarms. While he was occupied, I went searching for the beep. I went to the Carbon monoxide Monitor first, and just as I was taking out the batteries, BEEP! Darn that wasn't it! I went searching again. I found myself staring at a monitor in the foyer. I really wasn't sure whether it was a motion sensor or fire alarm. Faint BEEP! Nope that wasn't it either. Next, I went into Garrett's bedroom, because Troy had placed a fire alarm in there when he was a baby. I stared and listened once more. BEEEEP! Great I found it! I thought to myself, "Now what I am going to do? AND Why does stuff like this happen when Troy is gone?" I climbed up on a chair, and carefully took it off, not wanting to set if off. I took out the battery! Problem solved! But then I made the mistake of trying to put the batteries back in the carbon monoide alarm. BEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEP! Garrett started to scream and freak out on me. He was holding his ears, saying "Mama, let's go outside!" I tried to comfort him and explain that I had caused the beep, but trying to reason with a three year old at 10:00 at night, who is deathly scared of alarms, was impossible. Finally, we went to bed, and he put the covers over his head and went to sleep!Whew! What a way to end our evening!

Hi Tracy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment! I am always excited about meeting another "blogger!" Sara has told me a lot about you so I feel like I know you. She also told me that you had gone to Curacao. I didn't even know where it was or how to pronounce it, but had a great time!
I will be praying for you and your family during this time. It was hard for us to have our family apart for so long, but it definitely brought us closer together. Are yall planning on moving or staying there? I will be keeping up with you and your blog!
Keep in touch!
Shanan
